Managing Your Project
Once your project is set up — personas and topics configured in ContextGenie, prompts generated through PromptsGenie, competitors identified — this page covers how to maintain and evolve your GeoGenie project over time.
Keeping ContextGenie settings current
Your personas, topics, and contexts should evolve as your business changes. New product launches, market shifts, and emerging competitors all require updates to your ContextGenie configuration.
Since ContextGenie's output feeds every other product in the system, outdated settings will produce outdated insights. Review your settings regularly, especially when:
- You launch a new product or enter a new market
- Your competitive landscape shifts
- You notice AI answers in your category changing in tone or content
- New buyer personas emerge for your product
Managing your prompt library
Your prompt library (the prompts tracked by MonitoringGenie) should grow and refine over time. As you learn from MonitoringGenie and CitationsGenie data, you'll discover new prompts worth tracking and identify existing prompts that are no longer relevant.
Guidelines for prompt management:
- Add Depth prompts as you discover specific commercial-intent queries where you're winning or losing
- Retire prompts that no longer reflect active buyer behavior in your category
- Keep topics focused — avoid consolidating too many disparate prompts into a single topic, as this produces averaged, unreliable metrics
- Balance Coverage and Depth — ensure you have enough broad-category prompts to track the overall landscape and enough specific prompts to guide content decisions
Monitoring cadence
GeoGenie is designed for ongoing monitoring, not one-time audits. AI search results change as AI models are updated, new content is published, and competitors adjust their strategies.
A recommended workflow:
- Regularly review MonitoringGenie dashboards — track Visibility %, SOV %, and Citation Rate % trends
- When metrics shift, investigate with CitationsGenie — understand whether the change is driven by citation supply chain shifts, new competitors, or content freshness issues
- Act on gaps with ActionsGenie and SiteGenie — generate content briefs and audit your site when you identify opportunities or threats
- Track AI bot activity with Agent Analytics — monitor whether AI bots are citing, indexing, or training on your content, and how that activity correlates with your visibility metrics
